I can speak to the Petro experience, as several of my friends were employees of the stand during the expo. Not only were we employees of the establishment, we were also MAJOR advertisers during the Greatest moment of the fair. Namely. the EXPO 10000 road race of 1982. AT the DENOUMENT of the fair approx 15 of the world HANDSOMEST MALE Specimins (in the 150 ,and below weight class) to walk the planet toed the line in the race. Wearing their new uniforms, enslpendored with the Petros logo the LOST RUNNERS(inc 1979) stepped toward greatnesss.

After the race was over, and after taking some 15 of the top 100 or so places( out of some 3000 finishers) the company flourished.

The gods themselves moved on to other things , some constructive, some not so. The worst of the lot went into academia(Woods, Thompson, Lemay) the rest to the constructive pursuits such as the trucking business , chemistry, geology, teaching, achetecture and the peace corp. LONG LIVE THE LOST RUNNERS.

I was partner with several other folks in several businesses, one I remember was the Bagel Shop. I am now 80 years old and have many fond memories of the Fair. One thing I have never been able to understand is the folks who put out the negative (untrue) information about the fair and just about ruined it.
